Sunset Beach Swimming Facility located in Kimberly’s Sunset Park, offers sand beach with extensive shallow water area, shallow water slides, a diving well featuring a water slide, rentable shelter for parties, low and high diving boards, corn hole games, and plenty of green space to run around in. NEW in the 2025 season – enjoy the NEW splash pad as part of your beach admission! Sunset Beach is staffed with Red Cross Certified Lifeguards. Please note Sunset Beach does allow carry ins but glass and alcohol are prohibited. Sunset Beach is a smoke free/vape free facility. Inflatables are not allowed within the facility, coast guard approved lifejackets are approved.

Bark at the Beach Programs
NEW in 2025! Early & Late Season Bark at the Beach Programming! Early season accommodates a morning swim program for dogs and operates during regular beach season June 6th – August 15th, M-F, 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. Late season accommodates evening programming August 18th – 29th, M-F 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sat-Sun. Check out the program details and register online in advance. Early Season Bark at the Beach is by season pass admission only. Late season programming does had a day pass option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Slide Rules: Feet first, on your seat, one person at a time, no climbing up the slide or anywhere on the slide, no hanging anywhere on the slide, no jumping off the slide or ladder, no standing on slide
General Beach Rules: No throwing sand, no digging up clay, Sunset Beach is a smoke free vape free facility, no alcoholic beverages or glass containers, no metal detectors during swim season.
Water Rules: Any child under 6 must be always accompanied by an adult, no inflatables, water wings, beach balls, etc. (only noodles, Coast Guard approved lifejackets and puddle jumpers are allowed) no kickboards, no fins or flippers, no snorkels, no swimming on the other side of the ropes where no lifeguard is posted, no climbing on lifeguard chairs, no hanging, climbing or shaking the pump, no hanging, sitting on ropes, no chicken fights.
Diving Well Rules: Patrons must be 13 or have a deep-water pass, one person on the board at a time, two bounces only, no butt bounces, no “gainers”, must dive straight out in front of board, diver must immediately clear out of the diving path after entering the water, everyone must use a ladder to get out, must go feet first, on backside down the slide, one at a time down the slide, no running on cement area, absolutely no pushing, shoving or rough play anywhere around diving well.
Lap Lane Rules: Patron must be swimming laps to be in lap lane, no hanging, sitting on ropes, no noodles allowed.
Deep Water Testing: Swimmer being tested must swim the entire way using front crawl without stopping, arms must come all the way out of the water with front crawl, swimmer being tested must tread water for 30 seconds after swimming and only taking a short break to catch breath when they reach the wall. Swim tests are only done during the scheduled times.
